RDPE Growth Programme rural tourism infrastructure grants 2 March 2017 Grant funding is available through the RDPE Growth Programme for projects in England that create jobs and growth in the rural economy. Leeds City Region "Grants are for capital investments to develop and grow tourism in rural parts of the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership area. The aim is to increase the following: the number of domestic and overseas visitors the length of stay of visitors the number of visitors overnight stays, and the amount of money spent by visitors "Priority will be given to projects that: develop existing visitor attractions particularly to extend the tourism season between October and March attractions that aren't dependent on the weather create quality accommodation create small scale infrastructure such as cycle ways and footpaths to develop outdoor tourism create new and expand existing events and festivals particularly those that can be built upon in future years and have the potential to create a legacy." Page 50 of the fund handbook provides further information specifically about the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership scheme including a map of rural areas. Guidance notes specifically about how to fill in the expression of interest form are available. Expressions of interest can be submitted at any time up until 31 January 2018 (midnight). Do not start work, incur costs or place an order before your grant agreement has been signed. Please note that grants are paid in arrears.
