Description:

Peacemaker International is a charity for the advancement of conflict resolution through mediation services and training.

The charity aims to empower women for justice by supporting survivors of domestic abuse and providing skill development, mentoring, befriending and advocacy support to people with learning disabilities, ex-offenders and new arrivals in the UK.

We currently operate in Bradford, Manchester and Nigeria. We have supported many vulnerable people, including those with learning disabilities in the past one year and over 350 local people have benefited from our activities, attending training, events, one-to-one support, outreach and advocacy.

Peacemaker International is a community anchor organisation as we give solid foundation to a wide range of self-help and capacity building activities in the local community. We are multi-purpose in what we do, including the provision of a leadership role in the community by supporting and advocating for hard-to-reach people.

All our activities increase tolerance and understanding through community and faith-based networks. Our support is free and non-judgemental, and anyone in the community regardless of ethnic background, faith or race can access our services.

Peacemaker International is a UK based registered charity that aims to promote racial harmony, equality and diversity within the community. Our goal is to raise awareness of key issues affecting people locally, national and internationally.

We provide mediation support and training to vulnerable adults through a process of advocacy, mentoring and conflict resolution with a view to promoting and nurturing positive relations within ethnic minority communities.

Our work is essential as we live in a multicultural and diverse community and by fostering equality and recognising diversity in the community we can bridge gaps, tackle issues affecting ethnic minorities, campaign on equality, gender issues as well as eliminate language barriers that prevent BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) groups from accessing essential services in the community.
