Description:

Born in Bradford is one of the largest research studies in the world, tracking the lives of over 30,000 Bradfordians in the city to find out what influences the health and wellbeing of families. We use our findings to develop new and practical ways to work with families and health professionals to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities. A team of dedicated professionals in applied health research have been working with children and families for over 10 years with the aim of improving the health, wellbeing and life outcomes of the children of Bradford. We work very closely with other professionals and services including NHS, Education, Local Authority and the Community & Voluntary Sector. Our research is disseminated in various ways including publications, our website, through community engagement and the families and services that we work with. Our current research projects include: BiB Growing Up, BiB Primary School Years and Born in Bradford’s Better Start.
