Make a difference in Ilkley

Do you want to help a well-established local charity continue to make a difference supporting the elderly in and around Ilkley?

Ilkley and District Good Neighbours provides support and services to the elderly in the local area. We run a number of services including, help with shopping, befriending, a weekly social group, help with home ang garden tasks, an annual party for the over 90s, Christmas box delivery and various social trips.

We are looking to recruit more trustees to replace some that have recently stood down and to increase our diversity of experience. You will be part of our enthusiastic and friendly management committee who have overseen the challenges of the Covid pandemic, secured a secure financial future, invested in up-to-date IT systems and are looking at where the charity could expand it’s services.

You will work as part of our management committee to steer the direction of the charity and make sure we are delivering the best services we can. We meet every 6 weeks for a couple of hours and share information by email in between.

You may have management skills, experience in working in health or social care or simply a passion to help the elderly live a more fulfilled life in Ilkley. All experience levels are very welcome and you will be supported as a new trustee.
