Service Manager, Survive and Thrive Children’s Service

Based in Central Bradford (with flexibility to work from home for part of the week)

37 hours per week (full-time) or 29.6 hours (part-time) would be considered

Grade 4 point 29-35: £35,064 to £41,085 (full-time) or £28,051.20 - £32,868.00 (part-time)

We are part of an innovative multi agency partnership, Survive and Thrive, bringing together 3 organisations - Family Action, Staying Put and Women’s Centre Limited who are working together to develop a ‘one system approach’ with families affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. We strive to ensure individuals, children and their families have access to a high-quality service that works with them to be safe, increase stability and supports them to understand and manage the impact of trauma. We provide a single point of contact that enables access to all elements of our service.

Family Action are looking for an experienced and dynamic manager to lead our children’s team.

We deliver:

  • Work with children and their families on the impact of Domestic Abuse, increasing safety, stability and reducing trauma symptoms.
  • Attachment based group work with children and their parent living in refuge or
  • dispersed accommodation.
  • Advocacy, safety planning, group work and preventative work with children 13 to 17.
  • Whole family work to strengthen and relationships and increase resilience.
  • Consultancy for professionals

Your Skills and Experience:

You will be a self-motivated, positive and capable leader with excellent organisational skills. You will have experience of managing services that work with children and their families, with an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality assurance and an excellent understanding of safeguarding with experience of managing staff carrying complex cases. You will have a good understanding of all aspects of trauma informed practice and a commitment to ensuring a systemic approach, ensuring the team think family and engage with the wider professional network.

You will be a team player keen to work with Survive and Thrive partners’ in order to ensure a joined up approach to all aspects of domestic abuse delivery across the district. You will be excited by opportunities to develop new work streams and further develop existing elements of our service. You will be a confident ambassador for FA representing the agency at external meetings and forums.
