Homework Club Project Worker

A part-time position working 16-20 hours per week is available. The Project worker will conduct workshops, homework clubs online for children and adult refugees in Bradford.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of student support through raising aspirations and performance and helping to build ambition, confidence, and resilience in young people. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible and accountable for a cohort of students, working with them in a diverse range of ways including goal setting, monitoring achievement and attendance and motivational coaching.

This will involve encouraging and answering question from refugees’ children who are struggling to do their Homework. You will be expected to liaise with parents, Subject Teachers, Heads of School and Senior Progress Tutors to support, challenge and motivate students in all aspects of the learning journey. The successful candidate will also work with  refugees’ young people to give them additional support or attend with parent to school and parent meetings as required.

The role requires a committed and motivated individual with experience in supporting and guiding refugee children with their school assignments. You should also have excellent communication and language skills. Role of the Project worker

Assisting refugee children with their school homework. Encouraging young people to engage with the education system 

Conduct online homework classes in-person classes and (via Zoom or Microsoft Teams)
