Finance & Administration Worker

Do you have great organisation and data skills? Have you got experience of supporting a team and dealing with a wide range of finance and administrative tasks?

We require a Finance & Administration Worker to assist in the provision of a range of financial, HR and administrative services which support the work of Yorkshire MESMAC, with emphasis on work in Bradford.  

Main Responsibilities & Duties (list not exhaustive – we advise that you refer to, and download, the full job description and person specification for this role which can be found on our website.

  1. To record and update financial records on QuickBooks accounting software and internal systems.
  2. To work with the Finance Administration Manager in reporting against project budgets to the local Budget holder.
  3. To make payments using agreed procedures, including petty cash.
  4. Maintain and update personnel files using the online HR system
  5. Administrate the recruitment of staff and volunteers.
  6. To produce reports via the online monitoring system against Key Performance Indicators, by extracting and manipulating data to deadlines.
  7. To provide admin support for meetings.
  8. To assist the building manager to maintain office equipment.
  9. To assist with Health and Safety checks of the Bradford building.
  10. To assist with coordination of events and conferences

Salary & Location: Based in our Bradford office with the possibility for flexibility on working from home, although some travel to other sites will be required. Salary is NJC scale points 12 – 18, starting at £22,183 pro rata per annum for 20 hours per week. This is a fixed term contract until 31.03.23 Salary is reviewed annually. There is a 5% workplace pension (after 3 months in post) This post is subject to a Standard DBS check.

How to apply:

  1. Demonstrate at least two years’ experience of maintaining online and off-line financial records/ systems and working with office systems
  2. Demonstrate you are competent with IT and able to use Microsoft office packages, in particular Excel & email.
  3. Explain your experience of online performance monitoring systems and Key Performance Indicators.
