Community Development Coordinator - Shipley, Bingley & Bradford East

Our hubs are a warm welcoming space, where older people can get the information, help, support or advice they need for their situation, or pop in to volunteer their time or pick up a bargain in the charity shop section.

Each of our 6 Community Hubs is working towards delivering a range of functions including Information, Help and Support, Advice and Casework, Community Activities and Events alongside Fundraising.

Working with the operations team, the Community Development Coordinator will develop AUKBD’s presence and activities in the Shipley, Bingley and Bradford East areas in line with our values and in response to what older people tell us they need.

The hubs will work on an asset based community development approach and the post holder will be expected to take the lead on developing community responses and support that enables age friendly communities.  A significant part of the work will be around recruiting and developing volunteers and a network of community buddies.
