Guide-Line Support Worker – Maternity Cover

We are looking for a passionate and committed individual for this role, which involves providing support to people contacting Mind in Bradford’s Guide-Line telephone helpline and live chat service.

Guide-Line is an all age telephone helpline and live chat service for residents of Bradford District and Craven, offering confidential emotional support, guidance, information and signposting. The service is open from 12pm noon to 12am midnight, 365 days a year and is receiving an increasing number of calls and live chats; currently around 2,000 per month. The service is delivered by a dedicated team of Guide-Line staff and volunteers, who bring their expertise and passion for delivering the best possible service.

Salary scale:                     £11.87 increasing to £12.14 on completion of a 6-month probationary period

Hours:                               8 hours/week (Wednesdays 8pm-12am & Saturdays 8pm to 12am)

Location:                            Kenburgh House, 28 Manor Row, Bradford, BD1 4QU - role can be home-based (on the condition that you                                                      have  a confidential space to do the work from home)

Responsible to:                 Service Coordinator

Annual Leave:                    25 days pro-rata

Pension:                            We operate a contributory pension scheme which you will be auto-enrolled into (subject to the conditions of the                                               scheme).

Probationary period:      6 months
