Support Work- Project Worker (weekends)

Weekend Support Work - The Group Living Service in Bradford are recruiting for a Permanente Project Worker,

15 hours per week. Salary is £7,410.00 per annum (£9.50 per hour).

The weekend Project Worker is required to cover the service over the weekend; working hours are 8am - 4pm and 2pm -10 pm on a rota basis. The Group Living Services in Bradford offer residential support for young people aged between 16 and 18 years old who are leaving care or in need of accommodation. The service provides short-term accommodation and support to young people to enable them to develop independent living skills and move onto longer-term accommodation.  

You will have experience of working with young people in a challenging environment and an understanding of the issues faced by young people and care environment leavers. You will be responsible for supporting young people with a range of issues including tenancy management, money management, education and training, drug and alcohol problems and managing physical and mental health.  You will provide a safe and secure environment for young people within a group home environment. You will engaging with young people in a way that creates a supportive environment, empowers them and increases their confidence and independent living skills.  You support individuals in practical tasks and activities that supports their health and wellbeing, social and personal development.  You will also be responsible for health & safety duties and domestic duties within the building.
