Local & Organic Food Growing & Consumption

Start date and time: 26th October 2021 2:00pm
End date and time: 26th October 2021 4:00pm

With the climate emergency and the urgency for us to reduce carbon emissions and achieve sustainability, this talk will examine why the UK needs to grow more of its own food and how localised, community-run projects are essential to this.

We will look at the concept of food miles, what it means for food to be certified as 'organic' and how successful projects have been established in Bradford and elsewhere to grow, distribute and consume food locally.

IMPORTANT! We need to keep an eye on numbers for this session so please book on by emailing us first using mail@neighbourhoodproject.org.uk
