Protecting & Rewilding Green Spaces

Start date and time: 26th October 2021 10:00am
End date and time: 26th October 2021 12:00pm

This talk examines how different laws can be used to protect green spaces, from looking at registering land as an asset of community value through to neighbourhood development plans and village green status. We will look at ways in which campaigns and organisations have successfully protected green areas from erosion.

We will also look at the importance of rewilding land including new tree planting and increasing the amount of wildflower meadow, and examples of projects which can be replicated.

IMPORTANT! We need to keep an eye on numbers for this session so please book on by emailing us first using mail@neighbourhoodproject.org.uk
