How the befriending service works:
The coordinator matches clients with volunteers who will visit the clients regularly in their homes. Also, we can help people integrate with a local social group or signpost to other community groups if other help and support are needed. Our befriending service is free.

Who Can Benefit?
Residents of Addingham, Burley in Wharfedale and Ilkley who might be

– 70 and over
– Unwell
– Restricted mobility
– Lonely
– Bereaved

and can be referred by a neighbour, family, social or health worker or themselves.
