Description:

A Bit of a Break finds availabile weeks in self-catering holiday properties. The holidays are gifted by the property owners, to people in West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Liverpool who are living with a terminal illness, so they can enjoy some time away in beautiful places.

If you are someone living with a terminal illness who would like to be referred for a holiday, please ask one of the specific referral partners to make a referral for you (you can't do this yourself). In West Yorkshire, organisations that can make referrals includes Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford, Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope, The Carers Resource Bradford, Shipley, and Skipton offices, Bingley Medical Practice and Community Nurse Specialists in Cancer, Respiratory Disease, Neurological Disease and Heart Failure at Airedale.

Can I join with others to help fundraise for the charity? Yes! There are local ‘ABOAB supporter groups’ in the Worth Valley and Liverpool and we hope to have a new group forming in Ilkley too. Contact us by email on fundraising@abitofabreak.com and we will put you in touch with the relevant person.
