Friends of Park Wood are a community group made up of local people who believe that Park Wood is a special place and who work with Bradford Council to conserve and protect it for future generations of people and for the plants and animals that live there.
Park Wood is designated as part ancient woodland and the group undertake practical work to maintain and improve its diversity, together with acting as a communication channel between interested parties and ambassadors for the woodland site.
Our Work Party group meets in the wood on the first Saturday of every month. We carry out conservation work, litter picking and general minor maintenance for the wood. We run events such as bat and bird walks each year.
We hold meetings every two months on the last Wednesday evening of the month at Long Lee Village Hall, 7.30 - 9pm.
