Bradford Environmental Education Service - BEES

Description BEESBEES provides a range of environmental education activities for adults, young people, individuals and community groups including weekly conservation volunteer days which provide training and the opportunity to make positive change to wildlife sites and our own nature reserve and community orchard. The conservation volunteer group meet on Fridays at 9.45am at Culture Fusion, Thornton Road, and work through to about 4pm. Please contact us before joining an activity or volunteering so we can have a chat about what's involved. We run natural history field visits on Tuesdays throughout the year. There is a small charge to cover transport. The visits are organised by a dedicated group of volunteers and people are encouraged to get involved. We work with schools and playschemes providing a range of interactive educational sessions. Membership is open, but we require volunteers to attend a short induction before volunteering. No previous experience is necessary and training is given on the day. BEES also organises annual Apple Day celebrations each October. Contact us; 01274 371303 bees@bradfordymca.org.uk
