Description Credit Union Bradford District logo We are an ethical savings and loans company run by our members who live within the Bradford district. We're a friendly alternative to high street banks, doorstep loan sharks and other costly money-lenders. We are the largest Credit Union in Bradford with over 6,000 members and we are fully regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority. Anyone of any age can join as long as they either live or work within Bradford District. Over 18s can save and apply for loans if they wish, while under 18s can open savings accounts only. We have two branches - City Hall Bradford and 25 Cheapside Bradford and a network of collection points all over Bradford district (including Keighley and Shipley). The Bradford offices are open Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 4pm and from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Fridays.

Our partners are Incommunities, Bradford College, Bradford Council, Unison,Horton Housing and the list is growing! Our partners offer saving through payroll to their employees as a staff benefit. Anyone saving through payroll would be entitled to a loyalty loan.
  • Affordable Loans

Affordable Loans granted to members can be repaid weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly and monthly. New Members need to save with us for 3 months before they can apply for a loan, however if they save through payroll deduction they can apply for a loan after 4 weeks.
  • Savings

Members can save via cash, standing order or payroll. Members can have any benefit or a part of their salary paid in to their credit union account.

How to join

Fill out a membership form. We need to check two forms of ID, one should have your signature on, one should have your address. Bring it into the main office or one of the Community Contact points listed on the website and we'll help you fill it out. Or simply apply on line to become a member.
