Grange Park Patient Participation Group

Description We are a support and consumer group helping the Grange Park Surgery, Burley in Wharfedale and its staff in developing quality healthcare. We represent the communitys patients' views in this changing environment within the NHS and aim to be part of the communications process, as well as developing and monitoring services. We aim to support our village health providers, on behalf of the patients and the patients' interests with the health providers. We run an exercise class weekly and a MS support group monthly and hope to establish further groups covering Mental Health and Rheumatoid Arthritis plus any areas of health need, not at this time provided for our community. We hold regular Open meetings three to four times per year on subjects specific to patients requests for information. These are held in Burley in Wharfedale either at the surgery or St Marys Parish Centre. Committee meetings take place six weekly, on average, at various venues within the village.
