Nesta, Rethinking Parks awards 7 December 2017 Nesta has launched Rethinking Parks a programme with two different awards that will help support "parks innovators". The fund has a total of £2million to allocate. The funder is defining parks as "public open spaces laid out formally for leisure and recreation."

Community Shares Booster programme

Community Shares Booster programme 7 December 2017 "The Community Shares Booster Programme is a funding scheme to support community share offers. It will invest equity up to £100,000 to match community shares in societies that can demonstrate higher than average levels of community impact, innovation and engagement. The programme will also provide development grants of up to £10,000 to help societies get investment ready and meet standards of good practice. Match funding will be in the form of equity held on equal terms with other community shareholders."

MSE Charity, next grant round opens 1 February 2018

MSE Charity, next grant round opens 1 February 2018 12 December 2017 Grants of up to £7,500 are available from the MSE Charity for financial capability projects. Small to medium-sized non-profit organisations with a constitution can apply including registered charities, CICs and Credit Unions. Organisations should have an annual income of under £500,000 and less than six months free reserves. The majority of grants given to date have been under £5,000. From 2018 the funder has increased its standard application limit to £7,500.

Bradford Council budget consultation 20 December 2017 Bradford Council's budget is open for consultation "It is estimated that a further £30.7 million of cuts will have to be found by 2020, on top of further increases in Council tax. This amounts to £7.1 million in 2018-19 and £23.6 million in 2019-20." "The consultation process will close on Sunday, 28 January 2018 and the feedback from this consultation will be used to help us finalise the budget. The Council will meet to set its budget for 2018-19 and 2019-20 on Thursday, 22 February 2018."
