Community Shares Booster programme 7 December 2017 "The Community Shares Booster Programme is a funding scheme to support community share offers. It will invest equity up to £100,000 to match community shares in societies that can demonstrate higher than average levels of community impact, innovation and engagement. The programme will also provide development grants of up to £10,000 to help societies get investment ready and meet standards of good practice. Match funding will be in the form of equity held on equal terms with other community shareholders."

Henry Smith Charity re-launches grants programmes 1 November 2017 Henry Smith Charity has announced a new grants strategy. The main grants programme now has two strands; Improving Lives and Strengthening Communities. Other grants including holiday grants for children remain unchanged. Applications can be made at any time. Improving Lives This is the funder's largest grants programme, through which the majority of its funds are distributed. Charities and not-for-profit organisations, including social enterprises can apply if their annual income is £50,000 to £2million.

Shipley Area Community Chest, deadline 29 December 2017 14 November 2017 Grants of up to £350 are available from Shipley Area Committee for community projects that benefit residents of Shipley Constituency. Applications are particularly welcome from new projects, innovative schemes and from previously unfunded groups. Ongoing costs such as venue hire and staffing will only be funded through a start-up grant for new organisations. Grants will not normally be provided for ICT-related equipment or websites.
