Henry Smith Charity re-launches grants programmes 1 November 2017 Henry Smith Charity has announced a new grants strategy. The main grants programme now has two strands; Improving Lives and Strengthening Communities. Other grants including holiday grants for children remain unchanged. Applications can be made at any time. Improving Lives This is the funder's largest grants programme, through which the majority of its funds are distributed. Charities and not-for-profit organisations, including social enterprises can apply if their annual income is £50,000 to £2million.

Anchor funds social inclusion work by Christian Charities, deadline 31 Jan 2018 24 August 2017 The Anchor Foundation provides grants of between £500 and £10,000 per year to Christian Charities that encourage social inclusion through ministries of healing and the arts. Funding can be awarded for up to three years. The Foundation will consider applications for either capital or revenue funding. Shipley Area Community Chest, deadline 29 December 2017 14 November 2017 Grants of up to £350 are available from Shipley Area Committee for community projects that benefit residents of Shipley Constituency. Applications are particularly welcome from new projects, innovative schemes and from previously unfunded groups. Ongoing costs such as venue hire and staffing will only be funded through a start-up grant for new organisations. Grants will not normally be provided for ICT-related equipment or websites. MSE Charity, next grant round opens 1 February 2018

MSE Charity, next grant round opens 1 February 2018 12 December 2017 Grants of up to £7,500 are available from the MSE Charity for financial capability projects. Small to medium-sized non-profit organisations with a constitution can apply including registered charities, CICs and Credit Unions. Organisations should have an annual income of under £500,000 and less than six months free reserves. The majority of grants given to date have been under £5,000. From 2018 the funder has increased its standard application limit to £7,500.
