Job Purpose
We are looking to appoint two dynamic individuals to join our Children and Young People’s team to deliver one2one key work, small group work and youth club sessions for children and young people aged 6-13.

The target group will include those in need of targeted early help intervention including those engaged in, or at risk of engaging in, antisocial behaviour, children and young people who are not attending school regularly or are disruptive in school, children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Keyworkers will use a ‘Think Family Model’ including undertaking Signs of Safety assessments and planning. The post holder will have an understanding of the challenges faced by children, young people and families and be able to deliver support and interventions to address these. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to manage a case load of approx. 8-10 young people aged 8-13. Successful candidates must have experience of working in a multiagency setting including working in partnership with schools, voluntary and statutory services.

Group work sessions will support children and young people aged 6-13 who are going through a family change such as a parental separation or bereavement and who may suffer further disadvantage as a result.

A working week of 30 hours, this will involve delivery after school and early evenings up to four times per week.
