Future Plans

In response to the wishes expressed by our users, and the requirements of our service delivery and funding partners, a variety of major improvements and enhancements are planned for DIVA in 2010/11.  These are designed to make DIVA:

1. The primary portal for interrelations between the VCS and statutory sector partners, as a communication, promotional, and consultation tool.
2. A gateway to Third Sector procurement opportunities.
3. An interactive space where organisations are able to promote their potential to work together as consortia when bidding for procurement opportunities.

 In order to make this happen we are implementing numerous changes to DIVA.  Of the changes, some of the key ones are below:

• Enhanced search functionality
  This will make it easier for you to say what you want to find, and get appropriate results, whether you are looking for organisations, services or venues.  This will enable members of statutory bodies to more efficiently find potential groups to work with for procurement opportunities, and will also help identify areas of need.
• Online registration and updating
  You will soon be able to register, and also update, your group's details online, directly onto the DIVA website without the need for forms.  This will lead to more up to date information, making groups' pages more accurate, and therefore more appealing to potential funders.
• Discussion board
  This will be a place to share ideas with other service providers as well as potential funders, and funding advisors, and to discuss potential partnership working.
• Enhanced directory listings
  Giving your greater flexibility over how you list yourselves, and the type of information you publicise.  This will include improved space for community venues and services.  This again will make pages more useful for potential funders, and for potential funding partners, because they will more easily be able to see organisations' strengths.
• Improved Bookmark functionality
  Making it easier to stay in contact with organisations who are important to you, and also enabling you to easily be informed of any changes to organisations in certain geographical areas, or areas of work.  This will make it easier for potential funders to identify where work is of particular importance.
• Printable lists
  Be able to print up-to-date lists of groups or services in categories of your choice, or from your bookmark lists.
• Enhanced events calendar
  See events that organisations are holding listed on their own page as well as on the main DIVA calendar.

We are able to make these changes due to funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), provided through Enterprising Bradford.
