VI Sahara group provides advice, support and other assistance to Asian mothers/carers of visually impaired children. The group meets once per month at Womenzone, Hubert Street. It aims to build confidence and empower carers to be able to seek advice and put their views across to professionals involved in their childrens education, health etc. The group also provides an Arabic/Urdu Braille Club for visually impaired children 4 times per week where children learn Arabic braille, culture and mother tongue.
