Bradford Ecumenical Asylum Concern (BEACON)

Raises awareness about the needs of asylum seekers and refugees. BEACON has 3 main projects:

1. McKENZIE FRIENDS. Volunteers provide non-legal support to asylum seekers attending Thornbury Asylum Court.

2. CHAT. Friendship and refreshments for those attending the Asylum court -takes place on Tuesday mornings at Thornbury Appeal Court.

3. HOSTING PROJECT. Aims to provide short and medium term accommodation in volunteers' homes.
