Baildon Orchestra
Meets at St. Hugh's Church, Coach Road, Baildon on Thursday evenings at 7:45-10pm.- Plays classical and light music.
We try to maintain an orchestra with strings and standard woodwind-2 flutes, 2 oboe, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, 2 trumpets. We have given concerts of light music-show selections, Gilbert and Sullivan, light classics free of charge for pensioners groups and the Arthritis Care Ass. and others. The aim of the orchestra is to promote the experience of playing music live and enjoying it. We are open to anyone who can show a basic competence in playing an instrument.
