Name Description
Cullingworth Village Hall

The new Village Hall presents the Cullingworth community with a modern, large building, which is flexible in terms of how it can be used, designed to be economic in terms of running costs with modern underfloor heating systems, insulated glazing, improved security elements and is sure to be appreciated by all who use it.

The small hall (approx 40m2) is ideal for meetings and workshops (with floor sockets and wifi), as well as small group activities.
The main hall (approx 170m2) is perfect for children’s parties, celebrations and events.

The two separate halls can be combined to create an impressive space, suitable for a multitude of purposes including music events, large gatherings and special occasions.

Cullingworth Pre-school has its own purpose-built setting, separate to the Hall, with facilities which can now cater for wrap-around child care.

The Coffee Shop, Latalia, provides a wide range of snacks, drinks and refreshments and is licensed for the sale of alcohol. The cafe facilities are able to arrange catering for Village Hall events, just get in touch for more details.

Cuppacare

We provide a low cost drop-in cafe on Fridays 10am to 1.30pm. Guests receive a friendly welcome. Anyone can come, rest in the warm and meet friends, chat and support. We serve inexpensive Fairtrade tea, coffee, juice and a biscuit; a choice of soups, filled rolls, scones and teacakes. All staffed by volunteers on behalf of Shipley Churches together. There is bookstall with Christian literature and greetings cards. The profits from this are reinvested or given to charity.

Because it is in the centre of Shipley, it is very popular, and quite a variety of people use it, including local workers, parents and grandparents with children, groups of walkers and people who come to meet up with friends. Others come in alone and appreciate having someone to talk to over their meal.

If you would like to find out how to volunteer at the cafe, please call in and talk to Edna Hague or telephone her on 01274 586962.
