Floating Support Worker (part-time)

Following the development of new services and promotion of existing staff Horton Housing has an opportunity to appoint the following post at the Calderdale st@y scheme.

FLOATING SUPPORT WORKER

Ref: HHA10-18

Starting salary £17,802 per annum pro rata

27 hours per week

The Association provides floating support services to a range of people with different support needs, including those who

• Require support to manage their accommodation

• Are under threat of homelessness and require support in this area.

• Have specific needs including Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug related issues.

• Are deemed to be in priority need for Housing

The services provide support to people in their own home throughout each local authority area. The hours worked will generally be between 9am and 5pm, Monday - Friday. However, some flexibility will be expected to meet the needs of clients.

We are particularly seeking applications from people who have experience in any of the following areas

• A background in asylum and refugee work

• An interest in working with mental health

• Addressing substance (drug or alcohol) issues

It is a requirement of this post that you have your own motor transport.

Closing date for completed applications is Wednesday 8th September 2010 at 5pm.

Interviews are scheduled for Friday 24 September 2010 in Bradford.

Keighley Women's Aid is a registered charity & company limited by guarantee. We provide safe refuge accommodation and support services to women with, or without children who are fleeing domestic abuse. Staff provide a range of services including housing management,individually tailored support planning, interagency working, telephone advice/information, service user consultation & inclusion.

We currently have 3 full-time vacancies for experienced female front line staff to join our team.

2 vacancies for Refuge Worker (37 hours per week) Post Ref No: RW1

1 vacancy for Child & Family worker (37 hours per week) Post Ref No: CF1

Salary Band 6. SCP 25-28

£21519 - £23708 per annum
